Community Housing Development and Leasing Opportunities
In March 2017, the Department of Housing and Community Development announced a $10 million program for 2017-18 to increase the provision of community housing.
The department sought proposals from non-government organisations to deliver both the construction and management of new premises for community housing purposes.
Darwin – 27, 29, 31 and 33 Young Crescent, Alawa
There is a three bedroom dwelling on each of the four adjoining lots. All four lots have been zoned to Multiple Dwelling. The site has a combined area of 3003m² and may support up to 10 dwellings under the Northern Territory Planning Scheme.
These four dwellings, which are vacant, will need to be demolished prior to construction.
Palmerston - 2 Belyuen Road, Rosebery
The site is vacant land located in Rosebery. The site is zoned Multiple Dwelling, has an area of 4010m² and may support up to 13 dwellings under the Northern Territory Planning Scheme.
Alice Springs - 20 Nicker Crescent, Gillen
The site is vacant land located in Gillen. The site is zoned Multiple Dwelling, has an area of 1060m² and may support up to three dwellings under the Northern Territory Planning Scheme.
Tenders have closed on 2 February 2018 attracting seven applications. The applications are currently being assessed.
